Heartward Sanctuary Beltane fest!

As the wheel turns we gather once again to honor a potent moment...Beltane is a time to celebrate nature's fecundity bedecked in dazzling spring finery. While we metabolize our woes, let's also dance the blessings of life.

We'll gather around the maypole, dance to live music by Grand Shores, sing, greet our plant kin, make medicine, honor the bees and pollinators and gather by the fire into the evening. We'll further consecrate and inhabit the lower field, Oak Grove & fire circle and Barn Temple.

All ticket sales go towards continued renovation of the Barn Temple (roof repair or replacement) and also allow our organization to meet the criteria for farm designation through agritourism ($1,000 needed.) 

Update on schedule, given the weather forecast:

We're grateful the skies look like they'll clear up for the afternoon, maybe even in time for our opening. However, given the timing of storms, we're delaying start time and shifting things indoors until after 5pm.

The Plant Walk to the Ancestral Grove & Medicine Making (from plants harvested on the walk) will be postponed until later in the afternoon once the weather clears up, if there's still interest. 

For ease of arrival w/ the storms, the first public event is now at 2pm. 

We're moving the following into the Barn Temple!

1pm - Maypole Dance rehearsal  (for the maypole dancers)

2pm - Song Circle w/ Kelly Stack

3pm - Opening Ceremony  (led by Julia Hartsell w/ a flower blessing,  musical accompaniment by Daniel Chambo)

4ish pm - Dance Wave w/ Live music by Grand Shores (Will Ridenour, Gabriel Pelli & Austin McCall)

After the Dance Wave, we'll have a short procession to the Maypole for our closing ritual.

There's a tent just outside the barn for potluck contributions.
